Vincent Touzet

He studied in the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory, France, under the direction of C. Ricato, C. Nessy y P.Y. Artaud, obtaining the "Premier Prix" on Boehm transverse flute and chamber music with congratulations from the jury. He specialized in the Freiburg Hochschule, Germany, under the direction of the teacher R. Aitken.

At the same time, he did his baroque transverse flute studies, first in Paris under the direction of H. d'Yvoire and then in Brussels (Belgium) under the direction of B. Kuijken, where he obtained his soloist diploma. In 1998 he won the first price at the International Competition of the National Flute Association, Phoenix, Arizona, USA, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in France.

Graduated as well in Pedagogy in France, he is flute and chamber music professor in the Escuela Superior de Música INBA. He is frequently invited to give workshops as well as masterclases in places such as Festival Internacional de Flauta de la UNAM, Instituto de Cultura de Guanajuato, Diplomado de Música Antigua in the Centro Nacional de las Artes de México, D. F. , etc. He received a scholarship from CONACULTA - INBA in the Programa Nacional de Educación Artística, to write a method for beginners on the transverse flute (2004).

In Europe he is frequently invited to give concerts in orchestras (La Simphonie du Marais, Swiss Consort, Le Concert Spirituel, Il Gardellino, etc.) as well as in chamber music groups. He is co-founder of the Ensamble Clérambault, French-Mexican early music ensemble. He is a member of the orchestra Capella Puebla, conducted by Horacio Franco.

He has recorded the "Six Concertos à cinq flûtes" by J.B. de Boismortier for the label Naxos (prize Choc de la Musique), and chamber music by Elizabeth Jacquet de la Guerre with the Ensamble Clérambault for the label Urtext (2003).

Attracted also to contemporary music, he has been invited in several occasions to première pieces in Radio France, in the G.R.M. (Group of Musical Research), Paris, as well as in the "Callejón del Ruido festival", Guanajuato, Mexico (2004).

He collaborated with the composer C. Chargueron in the composition of the piece "Fluide" for electro acoustic and flute in G, with the support from PADID, CNA (México, November 2001). He is a member of the flute quartet "Eolia" who has premièred pieces from Mexican and foreign composers.

He has recorded for the label Urtext - Quantum Musicthe piece for solo flute "Reflejos" by Rosa Guraeiv.
